Algonquin Ridge is committed to the uplifting of
LGBTQ2S+ voices, the celebration of LGBTQ2S+ culture and the support of
LGBTQ2S+ rights.
Today the Progressive Pride Flag will be a
permanent mark here at Algonquin Ridge. If you haven’t noticed, the Progressive
Pride Flag was painted on our walkway in front of our school.
What does the pride flag mean for kids? Each colour of the Pride flag has a special meaning: red is for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, blue for harmony/serenity and purple is for spirit.
As you walk across the crosswalk each morning, you can be proud to know your children are a part of a school that promots acceptance, inclusivity and respect for everyone.
